长沙加速建设全球研发中心城市，这座科学新城年底“开门”

High-speed rail and shield-machine exhibits are already moving in — and Xiangjiang Science Town is getting closer to opening its first phase this December. Across the 5.8-square-kilometer area in Changsha, Hunan, China, about 1.9 million square meters of projects are under construction, with five major buildings entering the final stretch.

高铁列车、盾构机已经“进馆”，长沙这座科学新城离开门又近了一步。湘江科学城首开区正冲刺12月开园，5.8平方公里范围内约190万平方米项目在建，五大核心建筑也进入收尾阶段。

A key part of Changsha’s accelerated push to build a global R&D hub, the science town will focus on frontier fields including computing, materials, energy, life sciences and aerospace. From blueprint to skyline, Changsha’s next R&D landmark is coming into view.
