Wangchengpo Subdistrict in Changsha took a different approach: instead of paper on walls, they give residents something they actually use — for free. Kitchen aprons now come printed with "Prevent Kitchen Fires — Do It This Way" and six illustrated steps. Car sun visors carry "Four Key Preventions" covering accidents, drowning, fraud, and theft.

Free, practical, safe — three words that define this approach. The result? Safety reminders that appear naturally during cooking and driving, rather than being ignored on a wall. "I used to have a handwritten note stuck on the wall,” said resident Zheng Ruizhi. “Now I just look down at my apron." Changsha is turning ordinary objects into quiet guardians.
