"Museum in the Air" themed flight opens to mark International Museum Day

A flight attendant presents Changsha Museum-related cultural and creative products to a young passenger.

May 18 marks the International Museum Day. The China Southern Airlines Hunan Branch and the Changsha Museum have recently collaborated to launch a special flight themed on "Museum in the Air", offering a unique museum experience for passengers.

On the flight from Xi'an to Changsha, the passenger cabin was pasted with stickers featuring visual elements of rare cultural relics collected by the Changsha Museum, allowing passengers to feel a strong historical and cultural atmosphere.

"Here is a commemorative boarding pass for you." At the boarding gate, flight attendants specially prepared a limited-edition commemorative boarding pass with an exclusive number for each passenger. The boarding pass is themed "Changsha, a City Blessed with Mountains, Rivers, and Isles", with patterns of the Changsha Museum building and two of the most precious treasures of the museum on its back side. With this boarding pass, passengers can visit the Changsha Museum on the International Museum Day without the need for prior reservation.

"Why are bronzes cyan?" "Why do museums ban flash lights?" "Why is Changsha called Star City?" During smooth sailing period, flight attendants put forward questions related to cultural relics, museums and Changsha's history and culture, igniting the curiosity of passengers and encouraging their active participation. They also presented related cultural and creative bookmarks, picture books and other gifts to the participating passengers.
