Changsha-Nairobi flights handle 94,800 international passenger trips

A CZ6043 flight landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, capital of Kenya, on the early morning of May 8 local time. Such Hunan-Kenya flights have performed an important role in facilitating Hunan enterprises' business in Africa.

The China Southern Airlines launched its first direct air route from Hunan to Africa in June 2019. So far, 94,800 international passenger trips have been handled through the route, according to the China Southern Airlines Hunan Branch.

"Only half day is needed to fly from Hunan to Africa by this flight! It is really convenient," said a passenger who took the CZ6043 flight for the first time.

With the growing China-Africa cooperation, the opening of an intercontinental route by China Southern Airlines has significantly facilitated visits by Hunan enterprises to Africa, as highlighted by several business individuals.

So far, the China Southern Airlines has operated the Hunan-Africa flights for five years. Thanks to the interline agreements, Hunan entrepreneurs can take the Changsha-Nairobi flights and make seamless transfer to reach 40 major cities in Africa.
