Hunan's airports to resume int'l flights in new flight season

Beginning from March 26, the airports around Hunan Province started to implement the flight schedule for summer-autumn season. In this season, nine civil transport airports around the province will operate 6,536 domestic passenger and freight flights weekly, roughly on par with that in the previous year and more than that before the epidemic.

Hunan's airports will introduce several new tourist city routes, connecting to 272 domestic airports. The Changsha Huanghua International Airport will operate flights to 108 domestic airports and 7 international ones. Flights to a number of domestic airports will be launched or resumed, including Xinjiang's Aksu, Alear, Altay, and Korla; Guangxi's Guilin; Inner Mongolia's Hulun Buir; Yunnan's Tengchong; Shaanxi's Yan'an; and, Jiangsu's Yangzhou.

Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport will have access to 42 domestic airports, and launch or resume flights towards Jiangsu's Changzhou, Jiangxi's Nanchang, and Shandong's Qingdao.

Chenzhou Beihu Airport will operate flights to 15 domestic airports, and add or resume air routes connecting Chongqing, Zhejiang's Wenzhou, Guangxi's Nanning, and Tianjin.

The Air Travel, Hunan's local airline company, will launch three popular routes for tourism: Changsha-Chengdu-Altay, Changsha-Chengdu-Baoshan, and Changsha-Xishuangbanna. The number of its outbound air routes amounted to 15.

Hunan's airports will further increase flights connecting other major domestic cities. The Changsha-Beijing express route will handle 26 flights daily; the Changsha-Shanghai route will have 18 flights; the Changsha-Sichuan route will operate 17 flights; and, the Changsha-Hainan route will have 22 flights. Besides, not less than two flights will be operated on the routes from Zhangjiajie to Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Tianjin, Xi'an, and Chengdu on daily average.

The international flights have been resumed orderly. The Changsha Huanghua International Airport has resumed seven international and regional air routes, including those towards Nairobi in Kenya, Bangkok in Thailand, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Hanoi and Nha Trang in Vietnam, Manado in Indonesia, and Hong Kong SAR. During this summer-autumn season, the international flight routes from Changsha to London in UK, Phnom Penh in Cambodia, Seoul in South Korea, and Singapore will be resumed or launched successively. Meanwhile, new freight flight routes from Changsha to Tel Aviv in Israel and Bangkok in Thailand are scheduled for this season. Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport will launch flights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam in this summer-autumn flight season.
